Our capabilities and expertise can help guide you with the appropriate ocular hypertension model to meet your study goals, including all necessary study endpoints.
Ocular Hypertension Model Endpoints
We offer a comprehensive suite of analytical endpoints that provide complete structural and functional assessment of your investigational product in our models.
Laser-Induced Ocular Hypertension Model
The Phoenix MICRON IV® laser injector offers laser ablation with sustained increases in IOP. This is a common and preferred model for many ocular hypertension studies and can be complemented with a range of analytical endpoints including IOP, OCT, fundoscopy, and histology.
Structural Changes in Ocular Hypertension
OCT Changes after Laser Induction
Cell death and subsequent thinning of the RNFL-IPL are characteristic of ocular hypertension models, including the laser induction model. OCT captures changes over time.
Quantification
In addition to qualitative assessments, OCT changes after laser induction can be quantified at one or more time points.
