Ichor Life Sciences, a premium preclinical contract research organization offering services in discovery through pharmacology, announces the hiring of three PhDs to further strengthen its research and pharmacology offerings, effective immediately.
Jaeide Jawahill, PhD is joining Ichor Life Sciences as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Discovery. In his position, Dr. Jawahill will focus on protein purification, biophysics, automation and data processing.
Prior to joining Ichor, he held adjunct teaching positions with Clarkson University in Chemical Reactor Analysis and Chemical Engineering, and completed his dissertation using complex domain computations to carry out difficult distillation column simulations. He also held research and testing positions with Kraft Foods and Four Elements Environmental Inc. Dr. Jawahill completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, and will report to the organization’s R&D laboratory in Potsdam, New York.
Madeline Masi, PhD is also joining Ichor Life Sciences as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Discovery. In her role, Dr. Masi will focus on protein purification and protein crystallography, investing novel molecular interactions for the development of anti-aging interventions. Prior to joining Ichor, she completed an extensive research project focused on modification of electrode surfaces for DNA release, ultimately resulting in a light-activated, DNA release system functioning as a self-powered, biofuel cell. Dr. Masi completed her Doctor of Chemistry and Biomolecular Science degree from Clarkson University. She will also report to the organization’s R&D laboratory in Potsdam, New York.
William Lagakos, PhD is joining the company as a Study Director, Pharmacology. In his position, Dr. Lagakos will focus on novel compounds, drugs and pharmaceuticals, overseeing study planning and budgeting and experimental study design. Prior to joining Ichor, he held research positions with the Mayo Clinic, Research Diets, and Joy Mode. Dr. Lagakos completed his Doctor of Philosophy, Nutritional Biochemistry and Physiology degree at Rutgers University, in addition to serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Lagakos will report to Ichor’s other R&D laboratory in Lafayette, New York.
“Ichor is excited to welcome the talents of Dr. Jawahill, Dr. Masi and Dr. Lagakos to the pharmacology and discovery teams,” said Kelsey Moody, PhD, MBA, chief executive officer, Ichor Life Sciences. “Their research experience will complement the core competencies that Ichor excels in, further allowing us to deliver for our customers.”
