C57BL/6J mice are the most widely adopted strain of mice used in research, functioning broadly as an umbrella for many areas of study. We have developed a model to test the efficacy of novel wound healing therapeutic agents in aged C57BL/6J mice. This model is useful for studying the phenotypes of aging, which is often missed in using young animals. We have done extensive work with aged mice, and have developed industry standard practices in the handling and ethical use of aged cohorts.
